Sports Imports is a leader in volleyball net systems for 90% of Division I college and NCAA programs, USA Volleyball, and the volleyball net system for every Olympic indoor and beach volleyball competition. However, Sports Imports was not ranking well for core product offerings they provide these organizations – and as more and more coaches and athletic directors were going to search engines to research these products, the company wanted to ensure they were showing up for searches related to their products.
What We Did
The company commissioned Two Wheels Marketing to provide a complete SEO audit and SEO strategy for future growth for their internal team to implement. Their goals were to increase rankings for many product related searches and increase overall organic traffic. In addition, the company engaged Two Wheels for a PPC Marketing campaign to help target their core phrases, increase leads, and provide brand exposure.
The SEO Review & Strategy provided actionable insights for improvements on: site structure, on-page SEO, keyword and topic targeting, backlink acquisition, and other website improvements. The strategy was implemented by the internal team as Two Wheels worked with their developers to improve much of the site structure, URL structure, and on-page optimization capabilities. Two Wheels also provided updated meta data to help target core search phrases more effectively.
After implementation and over a 2-Year period:
- Monthly organic traffic was up 160%
- Overall monthly organic “goals” (sales leads or direct sales) were up 251%
- Overall monthly PPC “goals” were up 73%
- Sport Imports now ranks in the top positions in organic search for many of their core keywords where they were not ranking well before.
- Most importantly – Goals from ALL traffic increased 187% monthly, helping drive additional sales calls and online sales.
